Born in Sofia on the 28th of Spetember 1948. Graduated "Foreign Trade" at the Economic Institue. International relations Inspector at the National Assembly from 1975 to 1981. From 1981 to 1988 he worked as an adivsor at the National Assembly. Head of the International Relations and Protocol Deparment at the National Assembly from 1988 until 1998. From 1998 Mr. Nikolov headed the International Department of the Bulgarian Evroleft Party. He was the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Defence from 2001 to 2005, to become the Chief of the Protocol Directorate at the Administration of the President on January 2006.
