Born on May 13, 1950 in Stara Zagora. Graduated from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, majoring in "Technology of Electrochemical Productions and Sources of Electric Currency". Specialized "Politology" at the Academy for Public Sciences, Moscow, USSR/1985/. Mr. Stoyanov served as a political worker until 1989 and after the democratic changes became an Assistant on Political Issues to the Deputy-Chair of the Bulgarian Socialist Party /BSP/, later was Head of the Group, assisting the Parliamentary Mission of BSP and a Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of BSP and Coalition as well as Chief of a Department in the Supreme Council of BSP. Chief of Staff of the 37-th National Assembly and Deputy-chair of the 38-th National Assembly. Since 2000 Mr. Stoyanov has been a member of the Supreme Council of BSP and its Executive Bureau and also a Secretary of the Bureau. Married with two daughters.
