Todor Velev, Secretary in
charge of the President's Program
Born on May 25, 1954 in the village of Karash, municipality
of Roman. M.A. in History at the Sofia University St. Kliment
Ohridsky /1978/. Mr. Velev worked as a fellow researcher at
BKP's History Institute. His main interests were devoted to
topics, dealing with the anti-nazi movement in Bulgaria and
the so-called Macedonian Issue, reflected in the relations
between the Communist Parties, existing on the Balkans at
the time of the World War II. In the summer of 1994 Mr. Velev
became a Secretary of the Commission on Ideology to the Supreme
Council of Bulgarian Socialist Party .At the beginning of
1997 was appointed Head of the Office to the Chairman of the
Bulgarian Socialist Party. Mr. Velev has published a number
of monographs, scientific articles and a book of poetry.
