The Economic Report Bulgaria 2010: the economic challenges drafted at the request of the President will be presented at a special conference
18-01-2005 17:40 |

Bulgaria 2010: the economic challenges – this is the title of the Report prepared as an assignment from the President by a high-profile team of experts and NGO representatives.

In January last year the President highlighted the need for the devising of a program for Bulgaria’s development that aims to identify the national objectives combining them with those of the EU and going beyond the date of accession in 2007. During the past year, the Head of State has referred back to that subject on more than one occasion.

The main aim of the Report is to identify the key economic challenges in the context of Bulgaria’s EU integration. On the grounds of the analysis made the authors have mapped out specific ideas of how to ensure economic stability, increased productivity and competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy and a gradual closing of the gap between Bulgaria and the EU on a number of economic and social indicators.

The Report will be presented for consideration and discussion at a Conference that is to be held on the 23rd of January, from 10.00 a.m. in Hall 8 of the National Palace of Culture (NDK).
