Lieutenant General Lyubcho Todorov was born in 1964.

He completed his secondary education at the Technical School of Electrical Engineering "Georgi Rakovski" in the town of Stara Zagora.

In 1987 he graduated from the Higher National Military School "Vasil Levski" in Veliko Tarnovo

In 1996 he graduated from the G. S. Rakovski Military Academy, Sofia - Command and Staff, Operational and Tactical Profile.

In 2009 he graduated from the General Staff Faculty of the Military Academy in Sofia.

In the period from 1987 to 2010, he passed through all major command positions from platoon commander to chief of staff of an armoured brigade. In the period 2010 - 2015, he passed through the positions of "Chief of Staff of the Land Forces", "Commander of the Mechanised Brigade", "Deputy Commander of the Land Forces".

By Decree No 17 of 16 February 2015 of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria he was appointed to the post of Commander of the Joint Force Command.

He speaks English.

By Presidential Decree No. 210 of 17 August 2021, he was appointed Advisor to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on Military Security as of 01.09.2021.
