TEODORA TASKOVA
Teodora Taskova was born on July 9 1993 in Sofia. She completed her secondary education at the National Music School "Lyubomir Pipkov ", Sofia in 2012. She obtained a bachelor's degree in "Public Relations" at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in 2016. She graduated from the same university with a master's degree in "Journalism" in 2017.
In 2019, she completed training at the Centre for Turkish Language Studies at Ankara University and was accredited as a sworn translator in Turkish at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. Within the framework of the Institute for Foreign Policies, Ankara, in the period 2025 - 2026, she completed a number of educational programs in "International Relations and Diplomacy", "Foreign Policy", "Global Migration Processes", "Middle East, International Security and Global Challenges". She has many years of experience in the field of diplomacy, in the context of bilateral and regional relations with the Republic of Turkiye and the countries of Southeast Europe. She actively participates in international projects of the BSEC, OECD and other international organizations.
From 2010 to 2012, she worked as a presenter and reporter at the Bulgarian National Television, Directorate of Children and Youth Programs.
In the period 2019 - 2022, she was appointed as an expert and translator for Turkish and English at the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Istanbul.
Since July 2022, she has been working in the Administration of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Protocol Directorate.
From December 2022 to April 2026, she held a position at the Ministry of Tourism, Directorate of International Activities and Visa Regimes, with the portfolio of Turkiye and the countries of Southeastern Europe. In the period 2023 - 2026, she held the position of Head of the National Tourism Representation at the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Istanbul.
She was appointed as Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria by Decree No. 149, effective May 1, 2026.
She speaks English and Turkish, and uses Kurdish.
