Rosen Plevneliev: Bulgaria Supports Moldova’s European Prospects
Bulgaria firmly supports Moldova’s European prospects. We will be happy to share our experience and to continue to help your country on its successful EU integration road. This is what Head of State Rosen Plevneliev said, who held talks with Nikolae Timofti, President of the Republic of Moldova at 2 Dondukov street today. President Timofti is taking part in the SEECP summit.
At the meeting Nikolae Timofti thanked President Rosen Plevneliev for our country’s support in this process and voiced hope that the trade between the two countries will increase and the economic relations will become more active.
The Moldovan Head of State voiced gratitude to Bulgaria for its support for the decision of the European Parliament whereby Moldovan citizens who have biometric passports will have the right to make short-term visa-free travels to the EU member states.
As for the Bulgarian community in Moldova, Nikolae Timofti said that his country supports the demands made by all minority groups which are within the scope of their constitutional rights.
During the talks Nikolae Timofti invited his Bulgarian counterpart to visit Moldova at a time convenient for him.
