President Rosen Plevneliev: The Terror Act in Nice is Aggression Against the Foundations of Our Civilization
President Rosen Plevneliev strongly condemned the terror act in Nice, at which tens of innocent citizens, including children, were killed and wounded. In his letter of condolences to the President of France Francois Hollande, the Bulgarian Head of State said that such acts of extreme violence and hatred are absolutely inadmissible and cannot be justified whatsoever.
“The Republic of Bulgaria is shocked and unequivocally and strongly condemns this aggression against the foundations of our civilization. This terrible act of helplessness shows that we should remain united and determined in our fight against the terror threats. It is our common commitment to pool efforts and to work so as to build a more secure and peaceful world.
I would like, on behalf of the Bulgarian people and on my behalf, to express our heartfelt condolences to the relatives of the victims and to voice hope that the wounded will quickly recover. At this difficult time for the French people we grieve together with you for the dead. I am sure that you will remain resolute in your efforts to have those who bear the responsibility for committing this inhuman act promptly uncovered and brought to court,” the letter of condolences by the Bulgarian Head of State to the President of the French Republic says.
