Rumen Radev: I Thank Prime Minister Zoran Zaev for His Courage and Visionary Approach with which He Opened the Prospects for Friendship in the Bilateral Relations with Bulgaria
Head of State Rumen Radev thanked the Macedonian Prime Minister for his courage and visionary approach with which he opened the prospects for friendship in the bilateral relations with Bulgaria. At a meeting with the Macedonian Prime Minister in Skopje, President Radev emphasized that signing the Agreement on Friendship, Good-neighborliness and Cooperation between our country and the Republic of Macedonia has reaffirmed the European prospects of the whole Western Balkans region.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev highlighted that the Bulgarian Head of State’s visit in Skopje is evidence of the good bilateral relations. He thanked for our country’s support for the process of the Republic of Macedonia’s European integration and also for identifying the Western Balkans as a priority of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
“The friendship agreement has already produced good results, every minister from the Macedonian government has already visited Bulgaria and has talked about the prospects for strengthening the bilateral cooperation,” Zoran Zaev said. He identified the energy sector, transport infrastructure and other areas in which concrete results are yet to be achieved and thanked for the assistance our country offers to the Macedonian police and army.
