Rumen Radev: Egypt is Bulgaria’s Biggest Trade Partner in the Middle East Region and the Whole of Africa
Representatives of tens of Bulgarian companies will participate in a business forum in Cairo within the Head of State’s Official Visit
Egypt plays a key role in the region in fighting terrorism, organized crime, radical Islam and illegal immigration. Therefore the cooperation with Egypt is important for our national and European security.” This is what President Rumen Radev, who arrived on an official visit in the Arab Republic of Egypt, told journalists in Cairo.
“Egypt is Bulgaria’s biggest trade partner in the Middle East region and the whole of Africa. The bilateral trade already exceeds one billion US$, yet there is a greater potential for development, therefore I am accompanied by an impressive business delegation in important spheres of mutual interest,” Rumen Radev said and added that the top-level political dialogue and mutual trust are a very important condition for the development of this potential.
The president added that a lot of agreements are due to be signed between the business representatives from the two countries. “These days are very important, the program is rich, a business forum will also be held. I expect really good deals,” the Head of State said.
