President Radev and the Editor-in-Chief of “The Economist” Discussed Successful Economic and Financial Models which Have a Potential for Implementation in Bulgaria
President Rumen Radev held an official meeting with the Editor-in-Chief of “The Economist” Zanny Beddoes – one of the most influential people in the sphere of global finances. The meeting was held in New York within the Michael Bloomberg Global Business Forum. In the early 1990’s Zanny Beddoes was part of the “Harvard” team that conducted the reforms in Poland.
Together with President Radev they discussed the economic situation in Bulgaria, the EU and the world, the new realities in the energy sphere and climate changes, the future of car industry. The talks mainly focused on looking for successful world economic and financial models which can be implemented in Bulgaria. Rumen Radev and Zanny Beddoes agreed on the opinion that demography is a great problem of Bulgarian society and should be a major priority in the context of economic development.
