President Radev Discussed with the Chairman of Austria’s Constitutional Court the Individual Constitutional Claim as an Instrument of the Civil Society
President Rumen Radev discussed at a meeting with the Chairman of Austria’s Constitutional Court Prof.Dr. Christoph Grabenwarter the results and challenges related to the right to an individual constitutional claim. Austria is the homeland of the constitutional court and the Bulgarian President got familiarized with the way this instrument of the civil society is used.
In Rumen Radev’s opinion, the Bulgarian institutions should work to really empower the citizens, including by providing the right to an individual constitutional claim. In the Head of State’s words, such an opportunity will be a step towards creating a more active civil society in Bulgaria and towards an irreversibility of the democratic processes in our country.
The meeting with Prof.Dr. Christoph Grabenwarter marked the end of the Bulgarian Head of State’s official visit to the Republic of Austria.
