President Radev meets Azerbaijani Minister of Interior
President Rumen Radev met today with the visiting Minister of Interior of Azerbaijan, Vilayat Eyvazov. This is the first visit to Bulgaria by an Azerbaijani Interior Minister.
The head of State highlighted the friendly relations between the two countries and the strategic dialogue in a number of areas of mutual interest. Radev and Eyvazov agreed that deepening cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan in combatting crime is an important factor in furthering bilateral relations and partnership in a number of sectors.
The President expressed hope for the resumption of the Sofia-Baku direct flight service, the operation of which was suspended due to the pandemic. This, he said, would encourage contacts between the businesses of the two countries and contribute to the deepening of cooperation in tourism and education.
