Rumen Radev: Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea Have Potential for Further Expansion of Partnership in Industry and High Technologies
Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea have excellent bilateral relations, rapidly developing economic and investment cooperation, as well as the potential for further expansion of the partnership in industry and high technologies. This is what President Rumen Radev said at a meeting with the President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yool, on the sidelines of his visit to NYC to attend the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.
The two presidents highlighted high technologies, the automotive industry, energy and infrastructure as particularly promising areas of partnership. The Korean companies that have invested in Bulgaria highly appreciate their cooperation with the Bulgarian business, Yoon Suk Yool said. Radev noted the rapid development of the automotive sector in this country, as well as the actions taken to create an industrial zone for the production of batteries, areas in which the Republic of Korea is a leader. He also highlighted the opportunities for expanding the partnership in the creation of automated systems, automotive software, AI, including the use of the potential of the first of its kind in Southeast Europe INSAIT Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology, which was opened in Bulgaria.
The President also expressed this country's interest in strengthening the partnership with the Republic of Korea in the field of defence and defence systems and technologies.
Rumen Radev invited Yoon Suk Yool to visit here for further development of the political dialogue and bilateral cooperation.
