Radev and Mitsotakis Discuss the Acceleration of Strategic Projects Linking Bulgaria and Greece
President Rumen Radev today discussed with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis the possibility of speeding up work on the strategic projects linking Bulgaria and Greece. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Radev and Mitsotakis underlined the importance of the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Greece for our region, as well as of the joint projects in energy and transport connectivity and the environment. During the meeting, Mitsotakis said that the liquefied gas terminal near Alexandroupolis, in which Bulgaria is a co-owner with 20% of the capital, will be completed early next year, and President Radev confirmed this country's interest in participating in the management of the ports of Kavala and Alexandroupolis.
The two also discussed the consequences for the stability in the region of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.
