President Rumen Radev Discusses with the Foreign Minister of Oman the Prospects for Investments in the Development of Digital Infrastructure
Digitalisation opens up new dimensions in the economy and Bulgaria and Oman can play an essential role in digital connectivity and ensuring its security between Europe, Asia and the Middle East. This was stated by President Rumen Radev at a meeting in New York with the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, during his participation in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. The head of state pointed to the possibility of Oman investing in the development of digital infrastructure in Bulgaria.
During the meeting, the president highlighted the huge potential for the development of bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Oman in a number of promising areas such as high technologies, the construction of large data centres and energy, to which the exchanged visits of the ministers of energy of the two countries significantly contribute. The potential of the partnership in the economy, culture and sports were also highlighted during the meeting.
President Radev thanked Oman for its support in the negotiations for the release of the captain and co-captain of the ship "Galaxy Leader", taken hostage off the coast of Yemen.
