President Rumen Radev Held a Telephone Talk with the Newly Elected President of Romania Nicusor Dan
President Rumen Radev today congratulated Nicusor Dan on his convincing victory in the presidential elections in Romania and expressed Bulgaria's aspiration for further deepening of the bilateral partnership with our northern neighbour. Rumen Radev stressed that Romania is Bulgaria's second largest trading partner, with bilateral trade exceeding EUR 7 billion annually.
The Bulgarian Head of State highlighted the importance of the cooperation of the two countries on the issues on the agenda of the European Union and NATO, guaranteeing security in the region and joining efforts in the field of connectivity, which will improve the investment image of our region and boost business and tourism.
During the talks, Rumen Radev invited Nicusor Dan to visit our country for further development of the bilateral dialogue between Bulgaria and Romania at the highest level.
